Zach Horn – Certified Mechanic

I was born Zacahary Francis Horn, in Yokosuka Japan, on May 18,1988. Moved to the states 3 months later. Lived in California, then Indiana, and moved to Virginia when I was 4. Attended Virginia Beach Public Schools for my entire schooling, graduated from Frank W. Cox high school with an advanced diploma in 2006. Also began working at Checkered Flag Honda in March of 2005 in conjunction with the AYES program. Worked there for 3.5 years and worked my way up from apprentice/lube tech up to #3 man on red team responsible for engine, transmission, and all service work. I then moved on to Pembroke Suzuki where I was head used car technician for a year and a half, responsible for all diagnosis repair and any work on anything that came through the door, I am Suzuki bronze certified. I also have Michelin certification on the PAX tire system. I have worked on many types of cars, doing anything from basic maintenance, up through high performance installs and suspensions, both lowering and lifting. I have 1 sister, both my parents still live in Virginia Beach. My father is a retired navy man with 26 years in service, my mother is a receptionist at a local real estate company. My sister is a photographer and a stay at home mother. My girlfriend of 2 years is a hair stylist at JC Penney salon in Greenbrier Mall. My hobbies including going to mud bogs, diesel drag events, local music events and shows, anything car related. Also getting tattooed is a big hobby of mine.

How long in car business? I've been in the car business for 6 years, but working on cars longer

First car? A ‘95 f150, have owned many since including 2 Ford Falcons and a ’94 f150 on 40 inch tires

Favorite restaurant? Steak and Shake and Andy's, both in North Carolina

Heath Ledger or Jack Nicholson Joker? I liked Ledger's joker better

Beatles or Stones? I prefer Metallica or Johnny cash over the Stones or the Beatles

Boxers or briefs? I prefer boxer briefs they bunch less

Favorite movie? Probably the line of trucks gone wild videos lots of mud lots of big truck

Favorite football team? Oakland Raiders silver and black all the way

Favorite place to be or thing to do in Hampton roads? Hangin out with friends at the oceanfront

Designated hitter? I don't favorite it, if you can't play all parts of the game don't play the game
